When Jesus was faced with a crowd of people described as harassed and helpless, He turned to His disciples and full of compassion told them to pray earnestly for God to send out workers into the harvest. Matthew 9:35-38

Living out the Great Commission.

Prayer & Worship

Passages like the one above have convinced us that God has chosen His church to be His primary instrument to bring about real change in the world. In order for us to be used by Him, we must personally know Him, abide in Him, and function as the kingdom of priests in the house of prayer that He identified the church to be (Matthew 21:13). The foundation of everything we do is prayer and worship as we minister to God and ask earnestly for His breakthrough in our sphere of influence and the nations.

Evangelism

In obedience to Jesus’ instruction to take the gospel to all peoples, we actively engage the lost in Kansas City. We focus much of our efforts on the next generation by taking the good news into the public schools and ministering on the streets. Our work in the schools consists of a tutoring program during school hours where we meet the practical academic needs of the community, and an after school Bible club where we teach the word and worship together. We live within the community we desire to reach which gives us the opportunity to interact with the families whose kids attend these schools.

Discipleship

Our desire is to make Jesus-following disciples, not converts. We work hard to meet with and guide those who give their lives to Jesus in our evangelism work. We do this through one-on-one meetings, small groups, and house church settings.
